Dermott is a city in Chicot County. The community is in the

was 3,562. The community was named for Dr. Charles

County seat is Lake Village. Chicot County is the state’s
southeastern-most county and is well known for its rich, fertile

Hope Missionary Baptist Church, founded by a slave before the

county.
